British advance east of Ypres on a front of two miles; remainder of Westhoek and the Westhoek Ridge captured and Glencorse Wood entered; 240 prisoners; French cross the Steenbeek. Labour Party Conference, following lead of Mr. Henderson, who omitted to state Cabinet opposition to Stockholm Conference and Russian Government’s pronouncement of its purely party character, decide by a majority of over three to one to send delegates to a “consultative” conference at Stockholm.
