Surrender of the Turkish Army on the Tigris after a battle near Kalat Shergat lasting six days; 7,000 prisoners. Armistice with Turkey agreed on, terms including free passage for Allied Fleets through Bosporus to Black Sea; occupation of forts in Dardanelles and Bosporus necessary to secure their passage, and immediate repatriation of all Allied prisoners of war.

Turks attack at Baku; British evacuate the town.

Bullecourt and Heudecourt again taken, and Beaulencourt and the high ground at Mœuvres. On the Lys front Neuve Eglise captured. Turkish attack at Baku.

Radoslavoff, Bulgarian Premier; succeeded by M. Malinoff.

German raider Wolf announced returned to Pola after a voyage of 15 months; Admiralty issues list of 11 vessels presumably sunk by the Wolf in Indian and Pacific Oceans. Viscount Motono‘s statement that if Russia concludes a separate peace “Japan will take steps of the most decided and most adequate character to meet the occasion.” Inter-Allied Labour Conference at Westminster publishes memorandum on war aims.
